Walter Farley's stories of Alec Ramsey and his Black Stallion have been delighting young readers for years. Now, through an innovative newl program, students in one mid-Michigan elementary school are improving their reading comprehension skills with help from the books and from the MSU Horse Teaching and Research Center.
